Absolute Beginners

This week I've visited a movie that doesn't often see the light of day - Absolute Beginners. Featuring a cast as diverse as David Bowie, Patsy Kensit, Robbie Coltrane, Smiley Culture and Lionel Blair, the film explores 1950s Soho and the race riots of Notting Hill and White City.

Making a guest appearance is Tim Worthington, writer and podcaster behind the nostalgia goldmine at "Looks Unfamiliar". He can also be found on Twitter here https://twitter.com/outonbluesix

The number one song at the time of the UK release was the Comic Relief version of Living Doll, featuring Cliff Richard and The Young Ones. Good timing, as The Young Ones first aired on BBC TV 35 years ago this month.

Please take the time to share this podcast on social media and rate/review on iTunes - this helps grow the audience and reach new potential guests. Thank you.
